GPL: We’ve all paid bribe before. Football administrator reveals.

The president of Ghana premier league side, Bechem United, Kingsley Owusu Achiaw, has shockingly revealed that all the football administors in Ghana have ever paid bribes to referees for them to influence games on their behalf.

His revelation came at the back of match-fixing scandal that has mud the beauty of just ended Ghana premier league. The Ghana football Association have issued a statement regards to the match-fixing and willing to investigate it to it’s logical conclusion.

Various stakeholders are sharing their views and disappointment on various platforms in that regards.

Kingsley Achiaw in expressing his views in an interview with Asempa FM edge Ghana football to try and do away with betting which has the potentials of destroying our games.
“We should try and remove betting from our game, else our game will be destroyed totally”
He went on to state that, payment of a bribe to influence a game has been part of Ghana football in the past.

“I have paid bribes before, and every football administrator in Ghana have ever paid bribes to referees to influence games on their behalf”
Meanwhile, the Ghana football Association have opened up an investigation into the alleged football betting in the match between Asgold and Inter Allies.
