License acquisition: Ignore ‘goro boys’ – DVLA
Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has warned drivers not to accept and the public to reject the services of ‘goro boys’ to escape arrest and prosecution.
According to the DVLA, it intends to clamp down on the use of illegal number plates.
Speaking in an interview monitored by African Editors on Friday 22 July 2021, DVLA said “We have painted it and some of them use stickers and it is an offence so we’re trying to tell the general public that they should desist from doing that”.
Meanwhile, the activities of ‘goro boys’ are on the increase, spreading itself to various institutions amid illegal engagements.
