Flashback: Mahama, Akufo-Addo in African print display at presidency in 2017

The then President-Elect Akufo-Addo and John Dramani Mahama who upon failing to retain power was lacing his boots and warming up to handing over power to his successor were on top of their game at the Jubilee House after 2017 election paving way for a new crop of political leadership.

The motivation behind the gathering was for The then outgoing President Mahama to take the incoming President around the nooks and crannies of the Kanda-based presidency which is the seat of government.

Akufo-Addo wore a tasteful all-white outfit with smooth earthy coloured shoes that appeared to supplement it impeccably, while Mahama donned a dazzling long-sleeved African print shirt over a sharp pair of dark pants.

Akufo-Addo was relied upon to be confirmed as the fifth President of the fourth Republic of Ghana on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Independence Square in Accra.

It stays not yet clear if the two leades will keep up with their appitite for African print and friendly ties that greeted the moment even before inauguration of the President-Elect Akufo-Addo.
