‘Thwarted’ Sudan Coup staged by troops- Military officer
A military officer says unidentified number of troops from the reinforced corps were behind the Tuesday Sudan coup attempt. Many soldiers have since been captured.
The attempt to overthrow government was thwarted in Sudan and the situation is being taken care of, the country’s military said on Tuesday in an information aired on state TV.
According to representative Mohamed al-Faki Suleiman, cross examination of suspects engaged in the attempted military takeover of Sudanese government was underway and the military would give details in no time.
