V/R, GAR, Ashanti top NDC’s fund-raising campaign

The National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Digital Centre has revealed that the Volta Region is taking the lead in terms of monetary contributions to support the party’s efforts to unseat the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections.
The Volta Region is leading in contributions to the Good Governance Card digital platform introduced by the NDC.

The Greater Accra Region follows closely behind, with the Ashanti Region following with Bono, Ahafo, and Bono East regions tying in terms of contributions.

This reflects the growing appeal of the party in these regions, Mr Kwaku Asafo Adjei, the Head of Public Relations for the centre said.

He noted that even in the Ashanti Region, traditionally considered the stronghold of the NPP, people are making contributions to support the NDC’s fundraising efforts.

He emphasised that this surge in contributions reflects a strong desire to counter the NPP’s aim of securing a third term in power.

Mr Asafo Adjei explained that the contributions made through the Good Governance Card digital platform will empower the NDC to strengthen its campaign machinery and be fully prepared to compete against the NPP in the upcoming elections.

He called on both party members and non-partisans to embrace the party’s digital platform and help thwart the NPP’s agenda of remaining in power in the 2024 general elections.

During an interview on the Citizens Show hosted by Nana Kwabena Bobie Ansah on October 19, 2023, Mr Asafo Adjei encouraged all well-meaning Ghanaians, both within the country and abroad, to visit www.ndcspecial.com to make their contributions toward the NDC’s victory in 2024.

He explained that contributions can be made using Visa cards and various Mobile Money (Momo) services, assuring potential contributors that the NDC’s digital platform ensures the anonymity of those who wish to remain undisclosed.

Mr Asafo Adjei stressed that an NDC government is committed to providing equal opportunities for all Ghanaians.

The Good Governance Card is available in various categories, including prestige, platinum, gold, among others.
