We’ll no longer tolerate empty, unwarranted attacks –TUC to Prof. Adei

The Trades Union Congress (TUC) strongly criticizes Professor Stephen Adei for suggesting that Ghanaian workers are among the least productive globally. In an interview on GHOne, Adei compared worker productivity levels in Ghana and Togo, claiming that Togolese workers outperform their Ghanaian counterparts.

The TUC, in a statement by Secretary General Yaw Baah, condemned Adei’s remarks as an attempt to discredit Ghanaian workers and incite public disaffection towards them. The TUC accused Adei of displaying a bias against workers and trade unions, and lacking an understanding of the challenges they face.

The TUC expressed disappointment in a professor of Adei’s stature making such negative comments about Ghanaian workers, who are vital to the country’s development. They called for Adei to show more respect and sensitivity towards the hardworking people of Ghana.
