We’re managing economy with discipline, competence- Ofori-Atta
Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta is making a strong case that unlike the Mahama-led Administration, Akufo-Addo government is managing the economy with discipline and competence.
Speaking during the Mid-Year-Budget-Review at parliament in Accra on Thursday 29 July 2021, Ken Ofori-Atta said “Mirco-economic indicators are better than 2016, inflation and exchange rates are stable. We’re managing Ghana’s finances with discipline and competence “.

Ofori-Atta noted that “Mr. Speaker, I’ve not come to ask for money and taxes, we are staying within the existing budget. We have not gone to IMF for bailout, cancelled nursing training allowances and place a ban on employment “.
In a sharp rebuttal, Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu insists that the “Finance Minister has no business asking for money. No DCEs, No CEOs, so… what will you ask for money for? Nobody drinks from an empty calabash”.
