You’ve no power to order GLC to admit 499 law students- AG to Parliament

Attorney General and Minister of Justice Godfred Yeboah Dame has replied parliament that it has no power to direct the General Legal Council to admit 499 law students into the Ghana School of Law.

According to the Attorney General, the power to direct the General Legal Council in such matters are solely vested in the Executive organ of government.

A statement signed and issued by the Attorney General and Minister of Justice Godfred Yeboah Dame said “I hope the contents thereof clarify the limits of the powers of Parliament in the matter of regulation of admission into the Ghana School of Law”.
