“I’m not dead” –Nigerian movie star Zack Orji

Zack Orji, a renowned Nigerian actor, has refuted rumors of his death as “a lie from the pit of hell”. The actor, who recently underwent medical evaluation in the United Kingdom after two brain surgeries, expressed his frustration with social media during an interview on Channels Television. He mentioned receiving numerous calls from concerned individuals, some of whom he hadn’t heard from in years.

“I don’t know who started this lie, but it’s truly from the pit of hell that…not myself, they had passed away. I saw it and started getting calls from people, even those I hadn’t spoken to in years, who were concerned and wanted to confirm if it was true,” Zack said.

He criticized the recklessness and callousness of some individuals on social media who spread fake news for personal gain. Zack Orji also expressed his gratitude towards the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) for their support during his health ordeal.

In December 2023, the actor collapsed and was admitted to the intensive care unit of the National Hospital in Abuja before undergoing surgery at a private hospital.
