When and how did Bawumia sacrifice his political career for NPP?

Muhammadu Bawumia says he sacrificed his political career for the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Isn’t that laughable? How did Bawumia sacrifice his political career for NPP? When did he do that?

What political career had Bawumia before Akufo-Addo chose him in 2007 to be his Vice at a time he didn’t even own NPP membership card?

NPP rather sacrificed many competent loyal Patriots to give him the opportunity to become what he’s become today.

If representing Akufo-Addo and the party in court is what he calls sacrifice of his political career, then, he should be ignored because that is what has made him more relevant in Akufo-Addo led NPP than Aliu Mahama was in Kufuor led NPP eventhough the latter had contributed so much as a member of the party before becoming a Vice President.

If he doesn’t know that what he calls sacrifice of his political career is what made he’s today, then, I suggest he return his PhD documents to the school that honoured him.

It’s rather Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten who sacrificed his political career for Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP’s cohesion and stability. Something Akufo-Addo would never do if he was in that situation.

That’s why in the spur of the moment Akufo-Addo singled him out for appreciation and said after his tenure, it’s Alan’s turn to go.

Alan is the most prepared to lead NPP at this time beyond how long he’s given his all to the party. He’s most trustworthy and credible NPP presidential aspirant inside and outside the party.

Who doesn’t know this?

There is a good reason why you should support the African Editors. Not everyone can afford to pay for news right now. That is why we keep our journalism open for everyone to read, including in Ghana. If this is you, please continue to read for free. But if you are able to, then there are three good reasons to support us today.

1. Our quality, journalism is a scrutinising force at a time when the rich and powerful are getting away with more and more.

3. It doesn’t cost much, and takes less time than it took to read this message.

Help power the African Editors' journalism for the years to come, whether with a small sum or a larger one. If you can, please support us on a monthly basis from just 1 Ghana Cedi through mobile money number: 0599896099/ +23359989609 and you can be rest assured that you’re making a big impact every single month in support of open, independent journalism.
