First Sky Group invests GHS32m in free dialysis in KBTH

During the 21st Anniversary and Thanksgiving Service in Accra, The First Sky Group reaffirmed its unwavering dedication to healthcare by investing a substantial amount of GHS32 million since 2016 to provide free dialysis for kidney patients. Demonstrating their commitment further, they have also sponsored successful kidney transplants in the past year.

In his announcement, the Executive Chairman, Eric Seddy Kutortse, emphasized the group’s strong support for healthcare and its desire to improve the lives of those facing kidney-related challenges. Mr. Kutortse revealed that the group is actively working towards establishing a kidney transplant center at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, with a goal to complete the project by the end of 2024. This ambitious initiative aligns with the group’s broader commitment to making a positive impact on healthcare in Ghana.

The event’s theme, “The faithfulness of the Lord never ceases,” taken from Lamentations 3:22-23, reflected gratitude for blessings that endured over the past two decades, despite global challenges. Mr. Kutortse attributed the group’s success to the abundant grace and love of God, highlighting how it has played a role in corporate entrepreneurship, job creation, innovative solutions, and wealth development. As part of their community engagement efforts, the group also announced plans to build 50 church buildings through their rural area evangelism program, aiming to provide suitable worship environments and eliminate churches held in classrooms or under trees.

Looking towards the future, the Executive Chairman expressed The First Sky Group’s dedication to pursuing individual and national aspirations, underscoring the importance of unity, diversity, and a shared vision for collective success. He urged Ghanaians to approach the upcoming elections with vigor, resilience, and a common purpose to preserve collective peace.

The event featured a sermon on the theme “The faithfulness of the Lord never ceases” delivered by the Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church of Ghana, Most Rev Dr. Paul Kwabena Boafo, highlighting God’s dependability and trustworthiness. The ceremony concluded with a prayer for the prosperity and resilience of Ghana, embodying the collective desire for a prosperous nation.

The First Sky Group continues to play a significant role across various sectors, successfully combining business performance with a strong commitment to social responsibility and community development.
