Prof. Frimpong-Boateng’s arrest meant to frustrate him -Madina MP
Member of Parliament for Madina constituency and a member of Parliament’s Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee Francis-Xavier Sosu has expressed reservations about the arrest of Former Chairman of Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng by Special Prosecutor. The former Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Prof. Frimpong-Boateng was invited for questioning during which he was arrested by the Special Prosecutor and grated bail in the sun of two million cedis.
According to the Human Rights Lawyer Sosu, the arrest and subsequent investigation of Prof Frimpong Boateng is only meant to frustrate his efforts to expose top government officials allegedly engaged in illegal mining activities.
